Brother had a stroke last Wednesday

He's been in the ICU ever since. MRI done yesterday showed he's had many additional strokes in his brain and has blood all over now.  There's really no hope.

I am sorry to hear your brother has had too many strokes in his brain. What did the doctors say they will do for him? Will they drill a hole in his skull to evacuate the blood so that he can survive? For otherwise, increasing intracranial pressure in the skull due to brain hemorrhage would injure the brain and spinal cord. Why don't your family push the doctors for life-saving brain surgery so that your brother can survive?

My Dad had brain hemorrhage after a fall, and emergency brain surgery was done to evacuate the blood in order to protect the remaining brain. After surgery and intensive rehabilitation, my Dad regained all his motor functions and was able to stand, walk, talk...., and could live a few years more.

In hospitals, families must be active advocates for their loved ones otherwise the doctors would exert pressure on the patients' families to palliate instead of curative treatment.

My sister-in-law is the point of contact because of the Covid stuff. She said they don't think he would survive the surgery

Big hug for you Cheryl ... I am so very sorry that your brother is so ill.... My dad survived a serious stroke so it's possible.... Another hug and a blessing... xo

Sadly, my brother passed away on Monday.

    Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.
