On May 22nd,2009 8 months ago today I awoke to find Brads lifeless body on the grass in our house. He had commited suicide. And because of the wonderful people i Have met in Daily Strength I am being helped with this trauma and grief.i still grieve. And i still cry.The pain in my heart just wont go away and i ask everyday what did i do wrong? I miss Brad.He was a tall handsome man with a quick wit.He did a lot of things and helped me out a lot.But when i found his bloody body...i screamed.I Yelled "Why Brad?" Why? Why? WHy now? And I founded any good answers as yet.Brad did not have any financial problems. He was collecting umemployment. It was good money. And we were not getting along towards the end.We were in a bad relationship. When a person starts screaming at you at every little thing...it is time to leave.Brad would get upset with me and wouldnt tell me the reason why.And he began to exhibit really strange behaviours and I have to share them. What do you think? He began to talk walks at night and be gone for several hours. One night he came home....his clothes were all wet and i asked him what happened..he told me to mind my own business. He began to spend a great deal of money.I didnt know where it was coming from and I do think he was into something illegal. So far noone has contacted me and I am in the process of selling all of his belongings including the vcr and dvd because I need the bread. Why Brad left will always be a mystery and If I said something to offend any one of you...I am sorry but in Brooklyn the bosses dont like bull and want a direct answer and this is the way i was raised to be direct and sometimes speak to your own advantage.I love everyone of you and I will always love Brad and I am on limited funds so I am going to sell my jewelry at the market.Once again thankt so all and when I get off I am going to cry and i want to say this......I have never told anyone this...But Brad died in my arms and this is the reason why I am grieving...even tho he treated me bad i will always love him..when a person dies in your arms...you cant forget.peace.vader.

hugs to you Vader. I'm sure you're even more sad today. Be kind to yourself. Do what you can. It's 18 weeks for me today, 18 long weeks, yet sometimes it feels like only yesterday. We will feel a little better, I know we will, I believe that in my heart.

it takes time to heal from the wounds of a losss... there are so many tears and wounds that are opened up... be patient and find them all so you can be whole again

Vader you are doing OK. You've been around DS for a long time and you know the grief road is not a straight line. I know you miss Brad but you don't need or deserve his abuse and addiction issues. I still suggest you look into one of the free bereavement groups around your town. And spend time with friends of you can. Socializing helps. God bless. Scott
