I am new here to this kind of thing and never dreamed at 26 I would be apart of something so heartbreaking. My mother was found dead by my 23 year old brother back on September 15th 2016. From the looks of it, and what the coroner had said, it looked like she went to sleep and never woke up. This was the worst day of my life. I was at a loss, so torn and heart broken, and literally sick to my stomach. The week leading up to her death, my mother and I had been in a huge fight on a Monday. Some words were exchanged that we both didn't mean and the was the last I had heard of her until that Thursday following I received the news while at work. This has been the worst 4 months of my life and I have no clue where to turn or what to do. I feel so much guilt and anger inside and everything is just eating me alive. My mother and I never had the greatest relationship and we're constantly bumping heads especially when I became a mother myself. I truly hope she knew just how much I loved her. Someone please help.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

It sounds like you're suffering from survivors guilt..... I think that can often be more complex when our relationship is more complex
Of course she knows you love her.... You're a mom now.... If your child was angry at you would you love her any less??... Of course you wouldn't
We're imperfect people... Sometimes we argue ... That's just part of being human
Don't do this to yourself sweetie..... You don't deserve to be beaten up.....
If you have a faith talking with a leader of that faith might be of help to you or a bereavement group in RL
I'm glad you're here..... Your mom wouldn't want you to be doing this to yourself...... Another hug and a blessing.....xo
1) The exact moment of your mom's passing was most likely somewhat "random" since you did not list an explicit cause of death, such as a fall.
2) Your relationship with your mother was full on! It sounds like you had a base of love, but you both held strong opinions that were not always the same. Given this, your ebb and flow of good times and bad times sounds like it was a constant in your lives.
3) The above two suggest that she could have passed away when you two were having good times.
4) Parents know that when people become parents things change, even if it is your children becoming parents. Especially when it is your children becoming parents!
Please reach out to your family for support! By all means continue to post here, as often as you need! I found that a bereavement class at a local hospital worked wonders for me. I hope it can for you as well.
Gentle hugs
Just wanted to reach out and encourage you today. Much like you, I have often expressed angry words to my mom that I did not mean, and very much regretted saying. Part of what makes a mother/daughter relationship so special is that it is built entirely on love and unconditional acceptance, and that is also why words can so easily slip out of our mouths, because we know there is safety in that relationship.
I will be praying for you, and have found that relying on my faith has helped me deal with great loss in my life. At times, it was the only thing getting me through. Keeping you in my thoughts and my prayers today...
