Hi Everyone: I am grieving for my father who passed away suddenly in May. I was given a book by my mother who thought that it might help deal with my grief. This book is called "How To Go On Living When Someone You Love Dies by Therese A.Rando, PhD." This book was also reccommended to me by someone else. It took me about 6 weeks after my dad died to consider even trying to read a book because I couldn't stop crying and had a lack of interest in anything. So, when I felt like I could focus I started to read the book. I just finished it and it was so helpful that I am reading it again so that I can take notes to help me with my areas that I need to get through. This book covers grief from every situation you could think of. For example, it discusses sudden death vs. anticipated death. It talks about grief for those who have lost parents, extended family, friends, siblings, children (meaning kids and adult children), babies, whether is be from a misscarriage, abortion, stillbirth, death of a baby shortly after birth, SIDS, etc. This book covers everything. It also guides you on how to deal with children who are grieving while you yourself are grieving. I highly reccommend this book and I just wanted to share this bit of information with all of you.

Thanks for the recommendation! I've found that reading is about the only thing I can focus on right now (I can't even watch TV anymore, I just sit there and cry!) so I will check out this book for sure, thanks :)

I also forgot to mention that this book also addresses the subject of grief as it pertains to mourning over someone who has either passed away from homicide or suicide. Lastly, it also discusses how to get through the tougher times like birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, etc.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
