There's something about a father's love. Especially when your a daughter who never got to experience it. My dad die last year from colon cancer. I think I mentioned it on here before. This year, it's really hitting me. This month is also his birthday and all I can do is think about how he won't be here for a lot of the precious things in life. The one thing that sits heavy on my heart is that he won't be able to experience being a grandfather. I know he would have loved his grandkids. Probably would've been the highlight of his life.
Of course, I wish I could rewind time and change things from being so messed up with my family dynamics on my mother and father side. But, I'm not God. I know God is working everything out, even though I don't see it and it doesn't feel like it sometimes. I just know God's plan is best, though it's hard to accept. God has been giving me the love that my father wasn't able to give me. It's not that he didn't want to, life can be so messed up.
I love my dad and I know he's in heaven. He's at a perfect peace with The Anointed One.
To anyone that is dealing with loss of a love one or any kind of loss and grief, you will get through because we all are in this together. I thought that statement was cliche too. Until I said it to an associate at work because it's true. Whether I know you or not, from the movie High School Musical, we're all in this together. Love. Happy Holidays!!!

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

Another hug and a blessing....xo
We do the best we can with what we have. Pour yourself into being the best you that you can be, giving love to others, telling them how much you appreciate them, not taking things for granted. The one thing I really learned this past year is it's the little things in life that later become the big things and not take time for granted. I hope you heal your heart regarding your dad.
I too, didn't have an ideal relationship with my dad. You can drive yourself crazy asking "Why?". Praying for you my friend.
