I have decided to give my daughter a Christmas gift. She passed away two weeks ago today. Her best friend had a baby two weeks before my daughter died, and named her after my daughter. I am going to give my daughter the gift of giving. I am buying a gift for the baby, that will be from my daughter. My gift is to do this in her behalf.

What a special way to keep your daughter's memory alive for those she loved. I too have "traditions" I do every year for my son who passed 15 years ago. I will start doing one for my son, who passed 3 months ago, this year. It helps. Shirley

That is a great idea. I wish I would of thought of that sooner. I will be taking my daughter a small x-mas tree to her site this weekend. Since the headstone has been put down I will not go by myself for awhile and I will miss that. But that is a really great idea. Hope your day is going well.

Thank you so much for this post..I was just thinking about gining my brothers' children Christmas gifts from Grammie (my mom 09/19/07)...but I wasn't sure if it would be ok with my brothers...Mom was always big on Christmas and was even talking about Christmas shopping 2 weeks before she passed. I think it is a great way to keep our loved ones memory involved in the Holiday Season.
