I'm sure today is a sad day for you. You're right ~ the anniversaries, birthdays, and holidays are the hardest. I'm sorry you're having a rough time. Two years isn't a very long time and of course it still hurts.
In just 8 days, it will be the 8th anniversary of my husband's death and even tho it's been 8 years, it STILL is painful. I don't "fall apart" like I used to, but there's a deep sadness that hits on that day and it may last for a couple.
Just be kind to yourself, and try to remember to fun, good times you had with your dear Dad. And also remember that he IS with you. God bless. Hugs, Lee
Two years is not that long. Lee is right about those special days. They will always be difficult for you and all of us. But, the other pain should ease up some over the next year or so. I know there is no set rule. By NO means so please don't take that the wrong way....anybody that reads this.
I kept thinking that after the first year, I should have been getting over losing my sister some instead of worse. My therapist said that the second year is actually worse than the first because durin gthe first year you are dealing with the shock. Its after that, when the reality sets in and we start to deal with it and its tough.
Please know its always going to hurt some and we are here for each other.
