IF JESUS DIED FOR 'ALL' SIN TO BE FORGIVEN, AND IF ONE ACCEPTED THE FREE GIFT OF SALVATION THROUGH BELIEVING IN JESUS CHRIST, THEN WHY IS SIN STILL PREACHED AGAINST SINCE IT'S ALL BEEN FORGIVEN ANYWAY THROUGH CHRIST'S DEATH, BARRIEL, AND RESURRECTION? ISN'T THAT LIKE TRYING TO PAY FOR A MEAL THAT HAS ALREADY BEEN PAID FOR? IF IT HAS ALL BEEN FORGIVEN ANYWAY THROUGH THE PRECIOUS BLOOD OF CHRIST, WHAT'S THE POINT OF TELLING CHRISTIANS THAT THEY SHOULDN'T SIN, OR LOOK DOWN AT THEM BECAUSE THEY DO?
Joh:1:1: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Jesus was, is, and will always be a part of the Godhead; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. All three are separate and all three are one. Amazing. Jesus was with the Father and the Spirit before the foundation of the world. Jesus was not a plan or something God the Father had in mind. Jesus has always been and will always be. Eternity.
Salvation is the work of God. We had nothing to do with our salvation but believe that we are sinners and believe Jesus died on the cross to pay the debt of sin and forgive sin and recieve Jesus as our personal Savior.
Eph:2:8: For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that NOT of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Eph:2:9: NOT of works, lest any man should boast.
Jesus said that He was the way, the truth and no man goes to the Father except through Him. Also the Word says.
2Th:2:13: But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the BEGINNING chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:
The Spirit convicts us of our sins.
All we do is respond and accept the Gift from God.
Joh:6:29: Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.
THEN, in verse 14, it tells us that God's plans became flesh. (just like it says) Sorry to dissapoint you that Jesus is not God and God is not Jesus.
In the NT Paul writes that only GOD always was here at the beginning and always was immortal from the beginning. Interesting, eh?????

Rev 19 v 13, Yes, the "word" is Christ in "that" verse. The "word" in this verse is "of God", not "the Lord was God" or "is".
The KJV of the Bible included some 9-10 translations. The origianl manuscripts date from 1500 B.C. to 100 AD. Early copies dated from 330 AD to 425 AD. Vulgate in 400 AD is commonly know as the first to trsnslate the Bible. From 1300 AD to 1611 AD we have 9 translations until the KJV version came. The translors manily relied on orginal copies of the orignal manuscripts. I am sure you know that the KJV was translated by some 47 translators who where divded into smaller groups and each group was assigned a potion of the Bishops Transation. It was not until 1811 that another translation waa done.
So, we must be careful how we use a Greak word. The Greek word "eis" can be translated two different ways.

You asked what was the purpose of Jeus Christ, Why did he have to die on the cross. Why did God create Adam and Eve knowing that they would sin. Because of their sin Jesus came to born of a virgin and died on the cross to pay the debt of sin we owe God; and since we cannot work our way to heaven how could we get forgiveness for our sins.
Why did God create Lucifer knowing that he would rebel and that God would "kick" Lucifer and all of the other angels who followed him.
Why do bad things happen to God's children. Why, why, why?
If you stop to think about the why's of God it will boggle the mind. God did not have to create Lucifer or Adam and Eve causing His Son, the Son of God, to have to die on the cross and be forsaken by God because of my sins and the sins of the whole world.
Why did God create you and me? Only God knows the answers to all the why's. God did not have to create all these things that would cause the Son of God to die on the cross so we could be saved.
I do not know. I believe and accept it by faith.
1. Such an interpretation is sheer perversion of the context for Paul says he did baptize Crispus, Gaius and the household of Stephanas, (vs. 14-16), which would mean Paul writes his own condemnation if "Christ sent me not to baptize" be understood to be a prohibition of him baptizing converts.
2. The context shows that there was a partisan spirit in Corinth. Converts were saying "I am of Paul", "I am of Apollos", (1 Cor. 1:12, 13), but Paul would have none of it. Hence his sigh of thankfulness: "I thank God that I baptized none of you . . . lest any should say that I had baptized in mine own name." (vs. 14, 15)
3. This passage indicates that no special virtue is associated with the baptizer Paul himself was commissioned by Christ to be, first and foremost, a preacher of the Gospel. Whether he personally undertook the baptism of converts was a matter of no importance.
4. That baptism is essential to salvation is evident from Mark 16:16; John 3:5; 1 Peter 3:21; Gal. 3:27; Acts 2:38; 22:16; 16:30-33.
Paul knows that it is a MUST to be baptised. Why? Because Christ says it and preaches it. This is something that we must all know.
