Hello All,
Wondering if any body had had a bursae of knee or any other joint.
My physio recommended l begin shallow squats to build up muscles around knees as my knee is now so unstable l fear a dislocation.
So did as he asked and within a few days of doing as he recommended had a huge swollen knee. The whole knee all the way round swelled up. Made it very hard to walk any other way except like a pirate. You know straight legged.
Had 28 ml of synovial fluid drained. This brought great relief, however it is slowly building up again.
My rheumy wants to remove the remaining fluid and do a cortisone injection into my knee. Not so sure about this.....
My question is - Is this disease related or medication related. Have been told this is caused by inflammation. No surprises here for anyone. Lol
How can this be when l am taking methotrexate and still taking prednislone. Or is it the medication.?
Does this list of weird complaints ever end or do they continue to get stranger.

It is common to have several issues that appear not to go with Behcets.What I found after 20 some years of this that one can have a problem with a knee, ankle or shoulder and if they do no have a doctor that does anything drastic like remove the knee! (eggzaergation but not o far of base)
The bursae actually went down after the fluid was removed, and in time for my rheumy to decide a cortisone injection was not needed,. It was a very close call.... Really did not want a cortisone injection in my joint.
She was also of the opinion this was behcet,s related. She did not offer to remove the knee.!!! I know what you are getting at. However there are times when a knee removal may be the answer. Ha Ha.( pain gone forever )

But it was how extreme I had see Behcets patients get treated.
Psydio conditions are common but you are on top of your health care!
