Behcet's Disease Support Group
Behcet's disease (also known as Adamantiades-Behcet's disease), is a chronic condition due to disturbances in the body's immune system. This system, which normally protects the body against infections by producing controlled inflammation, becomes overactive and produces unpredictable outbreaks of exaggerated inflammation. This extra inflammation affects blood vessels.
Had a funny thing happen to me last week. I had appointment with a gynaecologist to see if he could do some repairs on my damaged private parts. Huge ulcers and huge scars to go with them.
He thought i was just a regular run of the mill regular patient. How wrong he was!!!!!
His eyes lit up when he read my history, Then he did his examination and he became more excited again.
Got his report in the mail. He also sent a report to my GP and all others, dermatologist and rheumatoligist but missed my regular gynaecologist .As he spoke of me in his report as HIS patient that had returned to him. He had delivered my son 21 years ago.
What is even funnier is that he and my regular gyneacoligist have worked together in various different places and are both very accomplished in there fields..
Has any one else had this happen. It really cheered me up no end and brought some light to an otherwise very difficult week. I found it very funny indeed.

Have no intentions of taking the matter any further. Will not go back to him as cannot afford the costs involved in him doing any repairs for me. Will have to go to the women's hospital in Melbourne and go on a waiting list. This may take the rest of my life!!!!!
Have an appointment with my original gyno and he is far more sympathetic and caring anyway. I get along with him better and feel more comfortable with him.
Also the laws in Australia are probably different from American.
Still think its amusing though.
