I'm new to these support groups. I met my fiance and his two little boys over three yrs ago. His youngest wets the bed every night. He wears nighttime underpants for big kids. Despite wearing the underpants, his bed gets soaked every night. We have taken him to the doctor and even tried Ddvap aka Desmopressin, with no improvement at all. Doctor said he will probably outgrow it soon. It's hereditary and will exhaust itself soon. Not much comfort when your house constantly smells of old urine. I keep a clean house and change sheets any time they get wet, which is usually every day.My fiance wet the bed till He was 12. I really hope it doesn't take our son that long to stop. The daily washing of sheets and the smell is getting to me. Is there anything else out there that might help us?

Most of our children's Drs. are cold towards the idea of stool load in the rectum causing night wetting. However Dr. Hodges and in fact many other Drs. are prescribing an enema before bed when children pass all medical tests with no apparent cause. Most of these children will stop wetting at night if forced to empty their rectum before bed.
Our Dr. basically said there was no good reason for my two older children to still be wetting the bed, even hinted it was some how their fault. That they didn't care to stop wetting the bed. Made me mad and made me get on line for answers. So glad I found Dr. Hodges website. My two kiddos are cured, completely!

I have been a bedwetter nearly my whole life, now age 66. Wear cloth diapers and plastic pants at night. These items are available in all sizes from new born to 6XXXX adult sizes from many on line suppliers. You have to do a little research to zero in what you need. I use cloth diapers at home, and disposables when traveling. Cloth diapers are more expensive in the beginning, but should last at least three plus years with proper care.

I agree with bedwetter669 wearing cloth diapers and rubber pants work s good for me and are economical in the long term.

and that is why i pee the bed
and pee my pants

i am 14 and i still pee the bed every night
i wear dry nights my bed always smells
like pee and pee leeks out of dry nights
some times so pee is on my bed
the doctor said i have a small bladder
and that is why i still pee the ped
