Bedwetting Support Group
Bedwetting (or nocturnal enuresis or sleepwetting) is involuntary urination while asleep. It is the normal state of affairs in infancy, but can be a source of embarrassment when it persists into school age or the teen or adult years. Find others who are coping with a bedwetting problem and share your experiences and questions.

Hey, I’m 14 and I wet the bed almost every night. Recently I’ve woken up with ‘mess’ in my nappy. Is this normal and does anyone else do it?

I've just been updating my profile information because I had a birthday last week, and so I'm now 25 instead of 24. It doesn't feel any different though!Just so you all know a bit about me: I suffer with anxiety and occasional panic attacks, and sometimes I do an accidental wee in bed while I'm asleep. Now I'm a year older than this time last week I can report that nothing has changed, although...

In 2013 I had an accident resulting in spinal injury at the base of my neck with paralysis from there down, spasticity (muscle contractions and spasms) and double incontinence. Both my anus and my urethra have been left closed except with manual intervention. I hardly ever pass urine via the usual route (I have a suprapubic catheter passing directly into my bladder about 2 inches below my...

Be careful : don't stay too long in a messy diaper, it's bad for your skin..
Please see if you can be checked for sleep apnea. I found this support group today and I read your entry and I'm very sorry you're struggling with this problem. I am a mother of twin 13 year olds who wet the bed, have ADHD and anxiety. I have had them examined by children's specialists who have had us do extensive constipation treatment (at ages 8 and 9) which didn't work, liquid bladder expansion and holding exercises (ages 10, 11 and 12) which didn't work, hypnosis and chiropractic (age 13), which didn't work, DDAVP prescriptions worked occasionally but the prescription is not safe for electrolyte imbalance long term. They see a psychiatrist for prescriptions for ADHD meds who told us they'd outgrow it by puberty (wrong). Bed wetting is not taken seriously by the pediatricians in our area so I persisted and found a pediatric neurologist who is a sleep specialist. Finally had sleep study that uncovered obstructive sleep apnea which is like suffocating in your sleep and can result can be bedwetting, ADHD, anxiety and depression. They are now scheduled to have tonsils and adenoids removed to open their airways and may also have to have more orthodontic work to expand their palates. Many children are developing these issues because our refined diets require less jaw muscle development and our doctors are lagging behind in diagnoses of these children. If your jaw is not wide enough and you have large tonsils and adenoids, your issue may be sleep apnea. Don't give up - ask your parents to look for a specialist to help you.
How have you been doing?? Have you had any more messing accidents at night??
I hope you're doing better now!
*hugs*

i did it on purpose some times in my goodnites
i wanted to see how it feels
but i have pee accidents every night
Having an unexpected poo accident can have many reasons. Sometimes it is that your bladder is full and your bowel too or you got cold while you slept.
What ever it is you should keep an eye on it and when it happens more often pay the doctor a visit.
