Bedrest Support Group
Bedrest as a medical treatment refers to staying in bed day and night as a treatment for an illness or medical condition. Prolonged bedrest carries some medical risks such as demineralization of the bones and atrophy of the muscles, as well as economic and social costs. Bedrest more often refers to an extended period of recumbence at home.
I just joined this support group and wanted to share my blog with you. I was recently placed on bed rest due to complications with my pregnancy. I started having signs of pre-term labor with my twins at 19 weeks so now I am in the hospital for the next four months. If you are in a similar situation, I hope that my blog can offer support so please become a follower if you are interested.

HI! I just joined this site tonight while my DH is working at disney until 4am and I'll be laying in bed alone on NYE. I was placed on bed rest after having an emergency cerclage placed thursday. I'll be 20 weeks tomorrow. We worked very hard for this special little miracle through IVF. I'm not having twins but I can totally relate to feeling alone and isolated while on bed rest. I'm going to follow your blog in hopes of knowing I'm not alone and your not either. feelings of sadness and worry at times consume me but I tell myself the baby would not want me to be sad. I've got to put my head in the game and stay positive. I celebrate every day and hope you do the same. Happy New Year to all the mommies to be on bed rest!

Sorry it took so long to reply! Thank you so much for your support and I completely agree. My goal is to always think of the glass half full. I am very lucky to have been able to even get pregnant and everyday the babies stay inside my belly is truly a gift. Now I am just about to start 30 weeks and the light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter. :)

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
