I'd like to know if anyone has had their nerves burned (don't know the technical name for this) to relieve pain in their lower back. My doctor wants me to do this soon and I have some concerns about it. I had my L4-5 and S1 fused in November 2006 and have had pain ever since. I have had an epidoral and a bi-lateral facet injections, neither one of the procedures work. I also have found out that my L3 is starting to degenerate. I am worried that if I have my nerves burned I won't be able to feel how my L3 is doing and if this happens will it make things worse in the long run? Am I better off staying on pain medications so I can feel if I'm straining my back and stop and/or feel when the deteriation at my L3 is getting worse? I would really appreciate some feedback and advise about this.

BUT.... I feel like my visits are not what they use to be. He...

I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...
