I have been in so much pain

i have been in so much pain i dont know what to do with myself, between my back, knees and servier carpul tunnel I cant find a moment of pain free bliss. on friday i drove some relitives around so they could take care of some stuff. it took 8 hours. we do this for them every month cause they dont have a car but my husband usealy does all the driving and i just take one of them shopping but my husband had surgery and cant drive yet so i did it. never again i just cant. its not good when your in sevier pain for days afterwords.I take pain meds but they dont take away all the pain.i could take more but it makes me feel sick if i do.

is your carpal tunnel too advanced for the surgery? I had it in both hands but the surgery stopped that part.
You were so very kind taking 8 hrs. to help others, I know you didn't want to have to set boundaries though....sometimes, we really have no other choice...I've had to set so very many my own self....it's not that we don't want to help, the price we pay in pain is just too much.

My meds take the edge off but since I have to drive myself anywhere/everywhere, I have to plan my trips around what time I've taken them:(:(

last time i seen a surgen for my carpal tunnel he wanted to do the surgery but amy insurance stoped and thats been abought 4 years and i havent been back. when i can i do want it done. I hope its not to late :(
my husband rubbed bengay on my neck, back and sholders last nite and that helped some i was able to sleep.

Do you have the braces for carpal tunnel??? Wal-mart carries them...pre-surgery I used them and they did give me relief until things got to the point surgery was the only option....my hands just stayed numb by then.
Might you be close to a free clinic or one with a sliding scale fee that you could go through? Some hospitals/dr.s also have programs for folks that have no ins. as well.

I have no idea if "too late" applies on this....maybe someone else here knows about that.

I'm glad you were able to get some sleep, I have no doubt you needed it!!!!
One OTC thing that helps me aside from Ben-Gay is TigerBalm...wal-mart carries it....it's a very small jar but literally, a little goes a long way, I even use it for my sinus headaches...the odor from it doesn't last as long either. If you ever try the TigerBalm, open the little box and see if the color is reddish....that's a bit more effective for me than the more "clear", whitish one...both do help though...

Always stay ahead of your pain !! Take your pain meds before you get too bad. I have learned to say no I can't do it, at whatever it is. You have to do so too, it is for your own physical good. I know when I have too stop and I do so, I can push myself right into the ER but I won't do that, even if they need your help they need to know how badly you feel if the pain is that severe and it days to recover that is not doing you any good. It might be tough to do to relatives but they should realize what agony you go through to "help" them out .

I will certaintly go out of my way for familly but they just have to understand that if I take 3x as long to do something as before OH WELL it is getting done. Please think of you and your husbands well being.
Our meds at the best only take off the edge and makes our days manageble. I can't imagine anyone who would knowingly put a person through such agony knowing that you can't do it. I pray you will never be put through this ever again in your lifetime.
