Back Pain Support Group
Back pain is one of the most common reasons people seek medical care. In fact, about 3 in 4 adults will experience back pain during their lifetime! The term back pain includes pain affecting the neck, midback and low back. Acute back pain may begin suddenly with intense pain but typically lasts fewer than three months. Usually, chronic back pain is persistent, steady, and...
I too, have been busy and not logged on a lot lately.
I'm having that Radio Frequency Ablation, *where they burn the nerve*, to relieve pain, this Wednesday!!!!
I will let you know how it goes! but, I currently have a pressing issue, that i'm going to the dr for tomorrow. I have been retaining fluid, and they did rule OUT congestive heart failure at my last appointment ( I had that back in January).
BUt for some reason, although I reduced my sodium intake, and kept my fluids up, my ankle and top of my right foot are still swollen. It's mostly the right, although I do have some fluid in the left.
Dr had the nurse call me, and said, "Since its mostly in the one foot and ankle, she wants to see you right away, to rule out a blood clot!!!
EEK!!! I have that procedure on Wed, and my gastric bypass surgery is scheduled for Oct 29th. I do not NEED THIS to be going on now!
So, say a prayer for me...I've been waiting for the nerve treatment , to relieve this pain I've been enduring now, for about 5 years. It's one of my last chances to alleviate this chronic pain in my back, and now it's in the sciatic.
I've planned for my gastric bypass surgery for almost a year, and now I may have a blood clot.
When it rains, it really pours..huh?
Hope you are all doing well as can be expected ,and that some of you have had some pain relief with the procedures that you're doing.
Hugs,
Boo
Didn't mean to "side swipe" your post. Before surgery, if this procedure works for me, and it sounds like something you want to try, maybe that could be an idea??
I'm one of the people that surgery did NOT help. It's a long drawn out recovery, lots of PT, but I just want you to feel relief.
I'll log back in here, but they say it will be a few weeks, before I know if it worked or not.
