not sure Im in the right place but hope someone can help me. has any one had this and if so did you have surgery and did it help? I have lots of pain in my neck and my right arm gos nimb alot I had a mri and the dr said I need to have surgeryI This all started last summer around July but he wanted to give me a shot in my neck, but a that t time I didn't feel I needed it He said well it't up to you but .... if it starts going numb then we have problems, I just want to talk to someone who has had this done, just to relieve my ANXIETY CUZ IM VERY SCARED ABT IT! NO NEED TO SUGAR COAT IT im 55 and must know what Im getting into thank you all so nuch!

There are a lot of surgeons that are willing to operate on a person's spine. If you can get an appointment with a spine specialist.
I have several things going on with my cervical spine. I have stenosis due to central disc bulging into the spinal canal at one level. Osteoarthritis is causing bone spurs to rub on nerves and several other bulging discs interfering with nerves causing inflammation.
I also have pain and numbness down my arms into my hands.
I would certainly ask for a nerve conduction study to isolate what nerves are affected.
