I have had an ongoing problem with my L3/L4/L5/S1 for five years now. For ten months now, I have been having sharp knee and hip pain from a herniated disc. I recently got a microdiscectomy on the L4/L5 to remove the part of the disc that was in the nerves. After surgery, my back hurt a lot (obviously) and my knee and hip pain went away! But two days later, my knee and hip pain came back really bad. I called my doctor and he said that this was normal (swelling). The disc problem has also caused a 'lift' in my spine which is similar to scoliosis. I know it takes time to heal and get better, but has any of you had a similar surgery? How long did it take for you leg/hip pain to go away? How long did it take for you spine to get strait again?

I went to the doctor a while ago to see about my allergies. He rubbed my arm and stuck things under the skin. Nothing. He poked and prodded, his phlebotomist drew so much blood people thought that we were dating. The tests all came back negative. Then one day I went back and I told him that I had found the cause of my allergy. It turns out, I am allergic to betrayal.
