BTW, Lortab, Vicodin, Lorcet, Norco are all Hydrocodone... The name just changes depending on what lab makes the med and of course Hydrocodone is the generic name.
Basically you are now taking 325 mg\'s of tylenol instread of 500, and the amount of codeine remained the same.

the first number is the amount of opioid the second number is the amount of acetaminophen or Tylenol. I am surprised that a pain management Dr. would use either of these medicines for long term pain management while there are so many other drugs that will work better there are time release drugs that last all day, this is curious opanna is one that comes to mind.........contrary to what many people believe the medication in hydrocodone, lortab, Norco, vicodin etc .... is not repeat NOT codeine. it is opium or opiates codeine is an opiate I hope this helps.

When I was released from the hospital after having been taken via EMS at the scene of my car accident...then admitted for 4 days..I was sent home on Flexeril for spasms and Tylenol 3 which..I had told em that I am allergic to codeine!!! I had no choice but to take em..along with benadryl...I ended up back 3 more times in the ER and was given the same as ya listed ....10/325 Hydrocodone and then the 3rd ER gave me the Hydrocodone 10/500????? I still am in pain! I have been told that I need an epidural spinal block and until I can find a Pain Management Doctor who accepts Medicad...I am just stuck in this pain...I am curious about the Opana..Texasblues...I know a friend of mine swears by it! I hope ya find a DR who will listen to ya hun....and help ya....Hugs....years.

The difference is you are taking 175 mg. less of tylenol. Other than that, its the exact same drug. Both contain 10 mg. of the active ingredient, hydrocodone. So since you are taking less tylenol, it may not work as well.
