Welcome & My story.

Welcome to this group. I am new here to Daily Strength and since I suffer from Autoimmune Hepatitis and there was no group for this specific condition, I decided to create one. I hope to be able to network with other people who also suffer from this disease. I have been in remission since 2004, it has recently began to flare up on me again and all my old symptoms have returned. So far I have been able to avoid any medication for it, but I know the time will come when Ill have to go on the Meds. Looking forward to meeting others who also suffer from this disease or any Autoimmune Disorder in general.

Hello - I was diagnosed in November of 2007 and while my treatment is going well - I've been hit with a ton of other autoimmune problems since this diagnosis. I am grateful to you for starting up this group! I do hope we can talk about it more. I'm currently on 40mg (decreasing 5 per week) Prednisone and 200mg of Imuran for the combination of problems. The side effects of the Prednisone are making me nuts.

I am also very happy to see you started this group. I have SLE and Sjogrens, and was just after a couple hospital stays in Boston for recurring low grade fever, weakness, severe fatigue, loss of appetite, tender belly, ect, was diagnosed with this. At first, they said I had a toxic liver because of all the imuran I was on, 250 daily, they stopped that, I got a bit better and they let me go home assuming I would continue to get stronger, they fevers persisted, as did the other symptoms. My doctor told me over the phone after more labs that I have autoimmune hepatitis, caused from the SLE, and once the rest of my labs are in monday, they will have to try me on another oral chemo, and increase my prednisone. I am just concerned that does this mean I will have it forever, or will my liver get better? Anyone with advice, I would appreciate it. I am overwhelmed waiting, I have been sleeping around the clock feeling so flulike and weak. What types of symptoms do you have besides the elevated liver enzymes and labs? thank you very much, I look forward to hearing from you and I hope we can rally others like us to join.

    My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
