I don't have any advice, but you are not alone. Aaron likes to hide inside boxes and under blankets. He has like 3 heavy blankets on his bed and he covers his head up with them. Good thing I have AC as hot as it has been. He likes to hide under our kitchen table when he has had too much stimulation or is upset.

It's very common. Do you have a kiddie tent in the house? IKEA sells them. Or even one of those 2/3 man tents are good. For a while I had one in my son's room with an air mattress. He ignored it after a while and I took it out. Now the therapists use it in the basement as an activity (filled with balls) and they shake it. My son also sleeps with the covers over his head. Makes things dark and quiet. Personally I like dark and quiet when I sleep too, just not hot and covered.

geeze i thought conner was the only one doing doing this . he goes under evrything. he also like the covers over the head. he also refuses to sleep alone. ya'll have that problem too? hes almost 3

my son didn't sleep alone till about 4. now no problem.

We purchased a tent that goes over twin beds for kids. My daughters had one that looked like a house and my sons looked like a car. They had windows and everything and it just connects via elastic bands stretched around the mattress. They even used the same bedding already there. They all loved it.

Also wanted to let you know that my brother-in-law to this day, he's 30 and NT, sleeps with the blankets over his head. He's always done this since he was a very young child. My mother-in-law and his wife laugh about it.

I know my son has to have absolute quiet and darkness to fall asleep. If the curtains show a bit of light, then we are in there trying to seal it up. He can't even stand the little green light on the computer speakers on. We always have to make sure it is off, as well as the computer.

My son does the same thing he sleeps with the covers over his head. He also crawls under tables gets in boxes etc. He also didnt not sleep by himself until he was 6 and now he will not sleep in a bed. He sleeps in his chair, we can move him to his bed and he will get up and go back to the chair. So we quit moving him!

well i looked today online and am taking the advice about a an inside tent. i found one at target w/ sleeping bag included for 20 bucks!

Zach doesn't crawl under things, YET... but he certainly climbs on to anything he can! It's a constant battle whenever I turn my back-I have to constantly remember to put all chairs and stools down on their sides or else he's climbed on them, then on to the table, counter, TV table where he pulls the card out of the cable box, then the damn thing has to re-boot and reset which takes about 10 minutes each time!!!! I put up gates, but he gets around them... AAARRGGGHHHH!!!! Some days I feel like I'm losing my mind! He's so meticulous about lining things up-I wish I could teach him the joy (it would give me) of putting his things back where they came from!!!! By the end of the day, I sometimes feel like I'll lose my mind if I have to put his pegs back in the box for the fortieth time!!! Not to mention the stupid things are almost as bad as army men when you step on them-LOL!!!(Anyone remember those from your childhood? Or is my age showning???LOL!) Any suggestions or do I just get to keep smiling and try not to flip out?!
