Autism is classified as a neurodevelopmental disorder which manifests itself in markedly abnormal social interaction, communication ability, patterns of interests, and patterns of behavior. MOST PEOPLE IN THIS GROUP JUST WANT SOMEONE TO BLAME!!!
Why is it that everyone here is so set on the vaccine 'theory' and refuses to believe anything else? The man who started the MMR vaccine issue with autism is who the one who had something to gain from it. He had patents on a different MMR vaccine and has been discredited over and over again. Science has shown NO CONNECTION between autism and the MMR vaccine.
IF VACCINES CAUSE AUTISM, THEN WHY DID MY SON SHOW CLEAR SIGNS OF AUTISM LONG BEFORE HE HAD HIS FIRST VACCINES AT 18 MONTHS OLD???
Also, there have been MANY studies in which groups of children were given the vaccines thought to cause autism, and other groups weren't given these vaccines. THE RATE OF AUTISM DIAGNOSIS WAS THE SAME IN BOTH GROUPS!
EXPLAIN THAT!!!
IF PEOPLE WOULD ACUALLY LOOK AT THE RESEARCH THEMSELVES, THEN THEY COULD MAKE AN INFORMED DECISION ABOUT WHAT CAUSED THEIR CHILDREN TO BE AUTISTIC.
I AM NOT THE ONLY PARENT OF AN AUTISTIC CHILD WHO KNOWS FOR A FACT THAT VACCINES DIDN'T CAUSE THEIR CHILD TO HAVE AUTISM. BUT IT'S THE PEOPLE IN THIS DS GROUP WHO HAVE DRIVEN THE REST OF US INTO SILENCE! YOU DON'T OFFER SUPPORT TO PARENTS LIKE MYSELF JUST BECAUSE I DON'T BELIEVE VACCINES CAUSED MY SON TO HAVE AUTISM- EVEN THOUGH I AM GOING THROUGH THE SAME PROBLEMS WITH MY SON AS ALL OF YOU ARE GOING THROUGH!!!
THIS GROUP WOULD BE MORE APPROPRIATELY NAMED:
PARENTS WHO WANT SOMEONE TO BLAME WITHOUT FIRST LOOKING AT ALL OF THE FACTS
or even better...
PARENTS WHO THINK THEY ARE MEDICAL SCIENTISTS
I am so tired of the RUDE messages people from this group have sent to me, just because I have a different opinion. I came to DS for the same reasons as all of you- to get support and advice from other parents whose children have autism. BUT INSTEAD, I AM TRAMPLED ON BY A GROUP OF CLOSE-MINDED PARENTS WHO BELIEVE EVERYTHING THAT THEY HEAR ON T.V. AND REFUSE TO LOOK AT THE ACTUAL FACTS.

Well I know that the vaccines didn't cause my son's vaccines......or at least.....I am convienced...it was due to birth tramua......how ever....I will tell you.....that the vaccinces ARE NO LONGER MADE BY USING MULTIPLE DEAD CELLS OF THE VIRUS...THEY ARE ONLY USING 1 YES.........1 DEAD CELL NOW........WHY??????? THIS IS A FACT....BEING A NURSING STUDENT..I HAVE ACCESS TO MORE INFO....THAN MOST....IN THE LAB'S ......SO for some.....its their opinion.....and that they are intitled to ......YES......I WANNA KNOW FOR SURE WHAT CAUSED MY SON'S AUTISM.......I WANNA BLAME THAT SOURCE....I HAVE HAD 14 YRS. i will tell ya what the heck is going on here, melindag is having a bad day and took it out on all of us and we replied that we donot appreciate being told that we are a bunch of closed minded parents that believe everything we see on tv. with that said, yes this is a support group so if you cant take the replies you know you are bound to get when you say things like the group is a bunch of closed minded people that believe everything they see on tv, then you might want to re-read your post before you hit the ADD button :)

NO one knows what caused or what DID not cause autism!! and all the words in BIG BOLD LETTERS IS THE SAME AS SCREAMING!! so cut the crap unless you want to get yelled at right back.this is really pissing me off and I hope all the ones that are here that are supportive will stand behind me and say they aren't gonna take being called closed minded!!! I have taken care of kids with autism for 14 yrs,by myself and I have 3 kids. 2 have autism,one does not and the one that does not has never been vaccinated.....it is my feeling that he will never get any vaccines because that is my feeling.....you can vaccine your kid melinda,or what ever your name is all you want to,no one is telling you not to and I have never heard such hostile talk in this group since I joined!!! with one exception,you know who you are,there hasn't been any arguing that I have seen. let's not start now. i I can't handle it and not too many people here want to take it.

when it is used in some of the post but not all and it's only on the parts that are meant to be HEARD then it is the same as yelling and this is all I am saying about this matter. I hope it's closed.
