Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) Support Group
Atrial fibrillation (AF or afib) is an abnormal heart rhythm (cardiac arrhythmia) which involves the two small, upper heart chambers (the atria). Heart beats in a normal heart begin after electricity generated in the atria by the sinoatrial node spread through the heart and cause contraction of the heart muscle and pumping of blood.

I have no idea how I got corralled into this stuff.
I'm noticing that it's coming and going. In waves. Plus some weakness. I dropped a watermelon....twice. Then I wanted to just throw it. Now it's making me want to laugh. Really, twice? I could understand if it was large. Anyway, Aiden was patiently waiting for me to cut it. I told him, well, it looks like grandma no longer needs to use a knife.
I'm trying to chill. I did mention it but it's interpreted around here as laziness. So, guess I'm lazy. Ah well.
It was pounding really hard. I asked my husband if he could help me with my pulse rate since I was trying to find my pulse in my wrist, and click the mouse at the same time and it wasn't working. My husband was too busy watching a movie and playing his games on his computer.
I was going to drive south to the hospital but decided to wait. I could have just parked close to the hospital just in case. I'm never quite sure what to do.
I did finally sleep for awhile, but husband game woke me up at around 2 so I was up again for a while. I finally was able to go back to sleep again for awhile.
It still seems a bit hard this morning, but not as bad. I haven't taken my pulse.
Sounds good! That's how Gallagher the comedian got his start.

Although I still think George Carlin made me laugh the hardest.

I do like the one on Stuff. A place to put your stuff.
Do you realize that somewhere in the world there exists a person who qualifies as the worst doctor? If you took the time, by process of elimination you could actually determine the worst doctor in the world. And the funny part is knowing that someone has an appointment to see him tomorrow.
And this gem:
"Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away."

It brought back many memories and has me still smiling.

Somewhere I must have an 8 track, I mean a cassette, or maybe a mp3 of carlin somewhere. ha ha! Oh heck with it, you tube has everything.
A reel to reel? LOL!
I now have a pacemaker so I CAN take the Atenolol. Apparently my heart cannot go without. If I have pounding (and I do once in a while) I can now take an extra Atenolol
I am on a very small dose so extra is OK..
Good luck to you.

Well, that emotional withdrawal I had the first day tapered off by the 2nd day. None today unless you can count the usual spousal irritation, LOL! Totally normal emotion anyway, if you all know what I mean. The first day though, it was so weird, almost like I was being possessed by some weird emotional thing. For some reason I didn't feel angry toward the little guy or I would have removed myself from the situation. Oh, not that a 3 yr old can't be irritating, but I felt none of that emotion toward him. When I dropped the watermelon, twice, he thought it was my new way to cut it open. So, I simpley sliced some out for him and left the mess for my husband. I loved in a way sitting in the other room listening to him sigh.
Yeah, drop kicking, would have been interesting huh?
