Electromagnetic fields (EMFs) - Some radio frequency (RF) emissions are now known to directly affect heart rate. A recent study showed that exposure to cordless phone RF (and comparatively, WiFi) directly increased heart rate, even causing tachycardia, and increased sympathetic nervous system activity (adrenal response), as demonstrated by heart rate variability (HRV) measurements. Wireless RF emissions also suppress HRV. Grounding, or attuning to the Earths natural electromagnetic potential, can counteract negative RF-related cardiac effects by balancing autonomic nervous system activity (as shown through improved HRV).

Now this is very disturbing. Corded telephones and ethernets are becoming a thing of the past...

I put in my address, and I am being hit with waves from 25 towers, 239 antennas, and there's one new tower application.

Not that this may or may not contribute to AF, but people were having this problem before we were wired or WIFI(ed) is that even a word?

twinsisters has a good point and not everyone is getting AF. YOu would think that there would be some geographical delineation where more AF patients would be clustered around these towers. I am more concerned about towers than the cordless phones. Cell phones too. But , if we worry about everything, we can't live.

I agree heart2222 - I can't be worrying about every little thing.....that alone causes stress that I don't need - which is what I think is my biggest trigger! :)

There are so many things that can upset the heart... I think this is just another one. I read where this guy was wondering if carrying your cellphone in your left shirt pocket could have affected his heart's electrical properties.

cell phones supposedly do interfere with pacemakers. I could see where someone would make this association...

**grins** One good thing about living out in the middle of nowhere, there are NO towers and only 19 antennas near me. I think we're miles from any of the old wagon train trails as well, lol. We do have WIFI and 2 cell phones, so I guess I'm not completely off the hook.

I don't have Wi-Fi at all. I have a cell phone that is rarely ever on..no land line at all. I think that perhaps makes me a recluse:) I don't like talking on the phone and use it as little as possible. Now, I have a sister, that insists she got her A-Fib from her microwave...so I guess anything is within the rhelm of possibilities.

Has anyone been to Russia? I just received a fwd. dissing microwaves and in it they said that they are banned in Russia.

"Tomorrows".. did you look in the chart about where the cell phone towers are in your area? Also.. if you live in a condo or an apartment, your neighbors are bombarding you with wi fi. So, not only do you get the wi fi of the person living below you, but down the street, above you next to you, etc. etc.

Forgot to add.. and if you have an electric car or a hybrid, you're getting slammed with EMF rays. And... if your car has GPS, satellite radio, blue tooth, or has a computer (most do from 1995 on up) then every time you drive you're getting EMF rays.

I live in the country...no neighbors for a few miles. I don't have a GPS system. It's pretty hard to get lost where I am. I don't have an electric car, but I do have a microwave. It's in my pantry though, and when I do turn it on I shut the pantry door and wait for the bell to go off. I don't know where the cell phone towers are, but my reception isn't very good, so I'm guessing they aren't very close as I can see for miles.
