Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) Support Group
Atrial fibrillation (AF or afib) is an abnormal heart rhythm (cardiac arrhythmia) which involves the two small, upper heart chambers (the atria). Heart beats in a normal heart begin after electricity generated in the atria by the sinoatrial node spread through the heart and cause contraction of the heart muscle and pumping of blood.
Quite frankly, as I've said on many occasions I think Xanax and stuff like it should be part of the bread and butter first line of AF defenses, perhaps coupled with a pre-PIP strategy.
Good NSR to all. ;)
Tonight we had Pool Party at my condo
I drank entirey too much Champagne and ate late which are triggers to AF for me Now, I could care less but Tonight if I go into AF it maybe different story only because I'm ushering at the SFOpera House tomorrow night Even in -AF I'll be ok
Age does make a difference on how you look at life.
To life!
Wishing nsr and life to all, Rick

Slept through the night on my back and woke up with a slight hangover. I'm not complaining. On to ushering tonight at the Opera House and tomorrow night for a Dianna Krall performance at Davies Symphony Hall.
Every day is a blessing. This year I've lost too many friends.
A friend wasn't feeling well and was talked into going to ER. She was in the hospital 4 days. diagnosed with acute leukemia. Told she had 2 weeks to 3 months. 69 years old. Retired @67. in talking to her Ashe said she was sorry she didn't retire sooner she was having such good time. She died last Sunday. 3 weeks after the diagnosis. She was remarkable person. Did everything right. She had a special sparkle.
Living each day to the fullest is important and maybe different for each of us as is AF.I'm fortunate with only minimal symptoms.
Wishing all sucess in achieving NSR and getting life back on track.
Annette
You said it all, thank you and Amen.
I am very sorry for your friend(s). You have the right idea by living and enjoying every day. You never know. It is really heart breaking when you lose a good friend specially when the person is a nice human being too. So sorry for your loss.
I am happy that your usual trigger did not tyrigger last night. I am glad that you are walking the talk and fully enjoying your time here and NOW. Have fun tonight, enjoy the concerts :-)

This morning went for a very short run and I could feel the afib wanting to start, but luckily it didn't.
Annette, you have the positive attitude that is so important when dealing with this condition. It does put in perspective what is important. Sorry for your loss.
I have not had any problems with being frightened or aggravated in the middle of the night...I mean, I have been very frightened several times, but did not go into afib....But, if I had had a glass of wine after jumping out of bed....I Would Be in afib....no more wine for this Afiber.
