Heart beats in a normal heart begin after electricity generated in the atria by the sinoatrial node spread through the heart and cause contraction of the heart muscle and pumping of blood.

Hi,
i am on metropol,diooxogen.hyrdrochlorizide , lisinopril and warfin .

i noticed that i am not sexually inclined for the lack of better wording like before .
is that very natural because of the amount of tabs i take to manage my BP
and my afib.

i was diagonesed with afib about few months ago.but had blood pressure for many years and i am now 52 .

another thing to look into is arterial supply to your body. Many men I took care with peripheral artery disease have also a problem with blood supply to their sexual organs. There is an easy way to find out if it is the problem, they can do Pulse Volume recording on a penis actually. Painless and non-invasive.

It is a side effect of beta-blockers like metoprolol. Could also have something to do with the stress of this diagnosis out of the blue, but I'm betting it is the metoprolol.

I am on a different mixture of drugs. there is no way when taking all these potent meds that we can avoid some side effects. perhaps you doc can make adjustments. but, everything is a trade off and as mentioned it could be the stress. I got it down to loss of energy and turned that into a plus by looking forward to my naps. key is to not accept health or lifestyle challenges without a fight. talk to your doc and do some of your own investigating and research.

i just realized that i am on 50 mg of metrophole is it too much .should they make a another review .

Hi Ray,
Everyone is different, but that is a very normal dose. I was taking 200mg for quite a while, now It has been decreased to 100mg.
