Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) Support Group

Atrial fibrillation (AF or afib) is an abnormal heart rhythm (cardiac arrhythmia) which involves the two small, upper heart chambers (the atria). Heart beats in a normal heart begin after electricity generated in the atria by the sinoatrial node spread through the heart and cause contraction of the heart muscle and pumping of blood.

I will be leaving this group soon, because my husband died in January and seeing the group on my page hurts too much. He had gotten a dual chamber pacemaker just two months before. But when he got up from a nap he collapsed. He had no debribrillator, so they think he just went into AFib and didn't correct. I'm sorry to leave you, I will miss my friends here, but you can join me on another one of my groups.

I am so sorry for your loss. I think we all consider ourselves friends and its sad to see a friend leave. Take care, we will miss you both.
