Heart beats in a normal heart begin after electricity generated in the atria by the sinoatrial node spread through the heart and cause contraction of the heart muscle and pumping of blood.

question for people who had ablations

Which heart drugs (rhythm control, rate control, anticoagulants) were prescribed to you for the period after the ablation and for how long?
I asked this question already, got only 2 answers.

ecofr- I believe during the first 3 months, it is fairly common to experience rhythm disturbances. Especially A-tach and for some people, major episodes of Afib during this time as the heart tissue heals and the scars form. The scars that are forming are the potential cure. Until the scars fully form, there is a change of arrhythmia as the tissue is still allowing some conduction and the heart tissue is very irritated. I was on Amiodarone, warfarin and atenolol before my ablation and for the three months following. I continued the warfarin for two more months after that and had to stop when I got diverticulitis so now I am just on aspirin (Yeah!)

I have "blips" frequently and I thought my EP was going to put me on a monitor to find out exactly what they are. But he didn't, he just released me and discontinued the Pradaxa. He didn't even put me on baby aspiring. I should have asked him, but forgot. I was kinda in shock since things happened differently than i expected.

So, to answer your question, I'm not 100% sure what these blips are.They don't last long, but they come frequently.

Been having problems with dizziness though. I check my pulse when these episodes come and it seems regular. My BP is high. But I don't feel any a fib. So, I don't know what the cause is.

Heart, I also have occasioal blips that feel like af but pulse is slow and regular. BP remains a little high. Taking only 1/2 metropolol and warfarin. EP did run a monitor for 2 weeks but it showed nothing. 1 week after I wore the monitor I had 3 days of off and on feelings like af and sob, dizziness and so on but it passed and I've been tip top ever since. I've been walking 2-3 miles a day and I can't tell you how good it feels to not be having those horribloe episodes now. I make sure I get enough rest, watch what I eat and take every opporunity to destress. Stress is the biggest factor for me and staying hydrated. I love my life again despite other health problems.
