If you go to afibbers.org they explain the supplements in detail.

Again they are not for everyone. when I first fired my cardio guy in Feb 2011 I started the afibbers protocol, with some exprimenting. And it does work for me. I take dilitizem 120 ER and use a beta blocker as a PIP. With the approval of my PCP. Sometimes just taking the Potassium will stop the flutters and fast heart beat. But you have to find what works for you, everyone is different.

What's a PCP? Thanks for the response. Were you low in potassium or is that just one of those things that can be low and cause this.

I just went on Web MD and typed in each supplement seperatly...very intersting what the indiviual people say.

My Pot was close to normal, my mag was very low. And I just added little amounts of the other stuff to see how they worked for me. I had 5 episodes of either afib or fllutter since this Feb and self converted each time.

If I were you I would do a lot of research and if you do start supplements start low.

I do have lone afib no other problems. My Dr. is great for going along with me on this journey.

I was on diixion and an extended release beta blocker. The cardio guy wanted me to go to an EP and let him put me on a lot of other meds. But I talked to my PCP and we've worked out a good program for me.

I know what your saying. I'm basically right now just eating foods that would be higher in those things. That's starting slow enough until I can learn more about them. I know magnesium is low in a lot of people and gets brought up a lot.

My Potassium was low when I first had A-Fib, I tried orange juice and bananas as suggested by my cardio, I now take a tablet once a day. I also take a over the counter Cal-Mag-Zinc. They have not made me go back into rhythm but feel they are very important to my health.

How did you know your potassium was low?

When I was in ER with afib., bloodwork showed low magnesium, and I had a mag. iv . After 12 hours, I converted and was prescribed a daily supplement of mag., plus I take extra.

My PCP checks my pot, mag, B 12 and others I can't remember everytime I have a blood test.
He did a third generation thyroid test, one which I had never heard of,
according to it and he repeated it to make sure, I am slightly hypothyroid.
We'll have to see what we can do about that.
