Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) Support Group
Atrial fibrillation (AF or afib) is an abnormal heart rhythm (cardiac arrhythmia) which involves the two small, upper heart chambers (the atria). Heart beats in a normal heart begin after electricity generated in the atria by the sinoatrial node spread through the heart and cause contraction of the heart muscle and pumping of blood.

Thanks for letting us know, we need good news.
Mark, I read quite a few success stories and have met a few people that are doing very well. As with anything on the internet the dissatisfied make the most noise. I believe that when people struggle with anything like this it helps immensely to hear the good stories. Some might say I was one of the lucky ones, maybe so but I believe that treatment today is world's away from where it was 6 to 8 years ago. The antiarrhythmic drugs are at a standstill with no apparent effort being made to develop better and safer options. Thank goodness ablation is not lacking in research and development. There are really great things happening now, I sure hope the momentum continues. I hope that you are able to celebrate many years of NSR, starting very soon.

You're very welcome Cheryl. Thank you for those very kind words. If my story can shed some light or I can offer some hope or help then some good will come of my struggle with Afib. I think for most people immersed in this that it's only natural to reach out like so many here do.
