Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) Support Group
Atrial fibrillation (AF or afib) is an abnormal heart rhythm (cardiac arrhythmia) which involves the two small, upper heart chambers (the atria). Heart beats in a normal heart begin after electricity generated in the atria by the sinoatrial node spread through the heart and cause contraction of the heart muscle and pumping of blood.

Acually, we had French fries at this little caf on the Place de la Comedie, and they were AWESOME...everyone was raving about them...I guess like all the other food, everything was fresh, and it tasted like they used REAL potatoes, instead of potato mush.
Surf,
Ah, now THAT song certainly brings back memories. Not to make you even more concerned about the waste of taxpayers money, but in one of our afternoon conversation classes we actually discussed how to "close the deal" if you were asking a young lady to "dance." That phrase was brought up (Voulez-vous coucher avec moi, ce soir). Apparently a very crude was to bring this up is to request if the lady would like to "faire le crack crack." Apparently this is VERY rude. ATP will have to chime in here, because I had never heard that phrase before, so she will have to let us know exactly how nasty that really is, or how to use it properly in a sentence. Hey, remember, this was a 3 week study of French culture!

Youve got to be kidding
sur le reseau interurbain (http://www.linternaute.com/expression/langue-francaise/14283/faire-crac-crac/ ) j'ai trouv l'explication suivante:
Expression rcente (XXe sicle), on la retrouve dans une chanson de Jacques Dutronc sous la forme faire crac boum hue. Faire crac-crac reviendrait comparer l'acte sexuel avec le bruit (suppos) que font les lattes du lit lors de l'treinte.
If others dont understand what I wrote, dont worry, you wouldnt be using that phrase anyway! Rest assured, its a long way from being polite.

Merci beaucoup pour l'explanation de cet mot (not sure if explanation is the correct word...it seems to always be a safe bet, if you don't know le mot en francais, to use the American word with a French accent!)..geez, 3 weeks in class and I spelled crac crac incorrectly! C'est tres amusant, but you are correct, I don't think I will be asking any young ladies to "faire crac crac avec moi" anytime soon! Surf,
of course you are 100% correct, and I HATE the wasteful spending, but like most greedy Americans, if you want to waste the taxpayers money on ME, I am somehow ok with that. I know, double standard. Enjoy the vin blanc, mon ami!
