For what its worth it took me a year to get my level between 2 and 3. If you eat a lot of vitamin K it will go down but yours is pretty low. Anything under 2 is too low. The second year is much better. I only go once a month now.

INR is what I have been working on with diet. Mine is back up to 2.3 and I am on 5 mgs a day. I think my BP shoots up as I know she is going to jab me. I go on the bus there and he is late and I walk fast from the bus stop to get there, block or so. I stress about being late. Doctor office then he says my pressure is fine. Normally I have had BP on the low side. Last time Karen gave me a diferent list has more foods on it.. I can have 90 mcg of K on what I take. Karen is working with me and Nancy would only say don't eat it. It does take time to get adjusted. I went down to 1.6 where I had been stayed about in the middle. But I found what I was doing wrong. Soybean oil is shortening. That was where I was gettin the K. It is taking a while to get it back up. I have to count the mult-vitamin's 30 K in my 90 per day. I am just learning now. Please do not ask me what I thought vegtable shortening was made of. I was doing pie crusts for the holidays. Took took pie to son and the scrap dough I had baked to eat. I do Xmas dinner and sugar wise I did not eat much pie really. Then I starting making biscuits. I know know my problem now and I told Karen. I do not use soy bean oil. Ha! I was eating a lot of biscuits. I bought canned green beans and peas and I will start on small amount. I am reading labels. I told Karen I want to eat green beans and peas and lettuce. Not all the same day of course.

Like I said they gave me shots of warfarin the tummu to get started faster. I was sick. I can tell you tummy shots are not fun.

I have to go walk my mile and the sun is out. I missed yesterday because of the rain. Thei diet had got to get easier some how. If I want to eat more of it I have to take more pills. I am trying for a steady diet like some one on here said. I can go once a month but it took a some weeks. Hang in there Ray

Exercise can lower the levels, too. They told me to not change my diet or exercise, and let them change the medication to match it...I go monthly as well, but as spring outdoor activities (i.e., field stone retaining wall, splitting and stacking wood, etc.) increased my numbers crept down resulting in a higher dose (45 mg/week). They will get it right...my BP always shoots up when I go to the clinic...I always ask them to check it again right before I leave after I have calmed down and it is always lower. You will be okay!

I know the doctor wants me to walk and said I would feel better this spring when I could get out and do things. I am on a acrage. Things to do. I did not walk this winter when icy and cold. I was afraid of falling. My numbers went down and clinic increased it by 5 mgs a week. 5 mgs a day now. I would think body size matters to how much?

Does wt loss or gain matter? I did loose 12 pound over winter. Now have gained back 5. My doctor says eat more and gain. I have cut way back on the snacks he said eat. 5 pounds in 2 months. I have tried to keep busy this winter to lower my stress of being cooped up.
