Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) Support Group
Atrial fibrillation (AF or afib) is an abnormal heart rhythm (cardiac arrhythmia) which involves the two small, upper heart chambers (the atria). Heart beats in a normal heart begin after electricity generated in the atria by the sinoatrial node spread through the heart and cause contraction of the heart muscle and pumping of blood.

Thanks for providing valuable info. My cardioliogist has recently recommended an ablation.
I have a consult with Natale next month.

These numbers are INCREDIBLY encouraging! I head back tomorrow to see Dr. Calkins for my 13 month follow up....hopefully I will get good news....one year down, and 4 to go to the "magic" time when it looks like the ablations generally hold. ..hopefully in 5 or 10 years having afib will be like having an ingrown toenail...simple procedure and the problem is GONE! Until then, lucky for those of you who had Dr. Natale as an EP! Again, this info is encouraging to us all.
