Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) Support Group
Atrial fibrillation (AF or afib) is an abnormal heart rhythm (cardiac arrhythmia) which involves the two small, upper heart chambers (the atria). Heart beats in a normal heart begin after electricity generated in the atria by the sinoatrial node spread through the heart and cause contraction of the heart muscle and pumping of blood.
If your heart rhythm problems are causing you problems in your ability to work or function, then you need to work with your Drs to take action to get them under control. For me this meant Amiodarone and an ablation. Hopefully your solution won't be as drastic as mine. Each person and each case is unique so you will need to work with your Drs to find the right solution for you.
It just seems to me that there isn't a solution at this point, and that we're asked to "live with it."
How are you feeling?
