Atrial fibrillation (AF or afib) is an abnormal heart rhythm (cardiac arrhythmia) which involves the two small, upper heart chambers (the atria). Heart beats in a normal heart begin after electricity generated in the atria by the sinoatrial node spread through the heart and cause contraction of the heart muscle and pumping of blood.
Hello everyone, new to this group. Very excited about finally finding someone to talk to that is going through what I am. Doctor has suggested starting Flecainide, however, the side effects scare me. Is anyone one this?

Hi, I was on Flecainide for several years with a small dose of beta blocker. It worked really well until I lost tolerance after a few years and had to change. Not everyone has the same side effects, I really didn't have any and had a good run with it. You can always change if you are not happy on it. Best wishes, Ruth

I have been on it for 4 years along with a beta blocker. I haven't had any problems with it. Best of luck!

Hi, I was on it for 2 years until my ablation. I had no problem with flecanide. It didn't really help with my Afib, but side effects. I hope you have good luck with it.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper?
