Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) Support Group
Atrial fibrillation (AF or afib) is an abnormal heart rhythm (cardiac arrhythmia) which involves the two small, upper heart chambers (the atria). Heart beats in a normal heart begin after electricity generated in the atria by the sinoatrial node spread through the heart and cause contraction of the heart muscle and pumping of blood.
From that, these 2 posts came up accusing those that answered of prejudice and calling opinions of IslandLuvr , me, and doctors CRAP!!!
THE QUESTION:
Island,
You are tough :-) I think we have to agree to disagree on this one.
I am sure why a doctor should be against the Obamacare, why?
Here are the responses to the answers given:
1)This board is about afib, not about personal political opinions and prejudices. Let's keep politics out of it!
Ecofr
I'm with you ecofr. We get enough of this political crap in the media, without having to hear it on an AFIB forum.
Jim
There has been much conversation about doctors and ethics, with differing opinions and insights, which is healthy. But when the Government came up, some got touchy. Think about it.
We can refer to it by its formal name "The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act" (PPACA),which, you have to admit is informally referred to as Obamacare. Obamacare is much easier to say and the formal name has no resemblance to what the act provides.
I am also concerned with people bringing up their political affiliations. I only bring mine up because I am in independent (meaning I don't vote on party lines). I do have a problem with the defense of socialism and socialized medice and false claims about medicine in America being subpar. It's just not true. Various countries have excelled in certain areas, but overall, things are best here.
I don't bring these things up to piss anyone off or make them feel wrong or defensive. Let's get this thing back on track. I value all opinions about afib and afib healthcare cost and availability.
We don't want to lose any members. Peace.
