OOPS - cut and paste issues - let me try again. THIS is the question:

I've never had a rash before, so this is not only itchy, but confusing. It started on my lower left arm and is now the whole arm and neck.

I don't have anything at home to help (my mobility is hampered a bit right now by having an oxygen tank to drag around and no car. Friends are picking up some benedryl tomorrow).

Anyhow, the only new drug I've added lately is coumadin.

So wondering if anyone has experienced rash as a coumadin side effect?

Rash from coumadin is common from what I read on the web. Tell your doctor. petey

I've been on Warfarin for 2 1/2 years and have never experienced any side effects.

I always tell my docs everything. WE don't know what caused this, so it's a bit by bit maneuver to take things away or change things.

Always helps I find to seek counsel from those who've been down the road before.

lapopessa, I get an itch on my head and neck that comes and goes but really can't tell if there is a rash because my hair is so thick and long. It's definably caused , in my case, by the coumadin. The strange thing is it comes and goes but that is life in the fast and furious a fib lane. Rick

If you want to itch, try the niacin that is not flush free.

Yea, I thought I had a rash from the Pradaxa, but it was only because my muscles are so tight, rippling, and cut, when I flex and my muscles chafe against the fabric of my shirt, it causes the fibers to stretch beyond the normal range intended. Detraining helps alleviate the problem... :-) petey

Coumadin can cause a rash and can make your toes turn purple.

Rat poison.
