I was wondering too....hoping you are having no chest pains and your puncture sites are all healed..And, you are feeling better..And you are taking life easy and enjoying yourself and family.

Thanks so much for asking. Almost 3 weeks post-ablation. The catheter insertion sites continue to heal nicely. Right groin is much, much better but still tender.

I have the occasional flutter or ache but no cause for alarm. I have been able to return to work and generally feel pretty good. Still on the Metoprolol, Flecainide and Pradaxa so those side-effects remain. I go to the EP June 7 and hope to start weaning off the meds. A little anxious to move forward but need to let the heart heal.

Also hoping to do some exercise this weekend or next week. Actually returned to the ice last night (probably a bad idea) to coach youngest son's hockey practice. Kept looking around to make sure no kids (or coaches) were flying at me with their heads down! Luckily no one smashed into me or cut me with a skate blade!

Thanks again for your support. This site has been tremendous in minimizing fears, answering questions and dealing with a common problem.

CarBomb2012 sounds like you and Canman are doing great after your ablations. I hope you both have a great recovery. I hope my wife has an easy time as both of you have had so far. Keeps us posted on your recover.

My screen name is a nod to Daniel Carcillo, the volatile winger who plays for the Blackhawks (and was a major irritant when he skated for the Flyers and Coyotes). And while Car Bomb is missing some teeth, I wear a face shield when I skate and luckily have all of my pearly whites.

Yea, the movie would be called "Defibrillation".

Carbomb hooks Canman up to some Christmas Tree lights and puts him in sinus rhythm up until Midnight Mass where he goes into Afib with Ave Maria and Ambulance Sirens going off in the background. Carbomb is swearing out loud while nuns are looking at him and making the sign of the cross... the priest is telling Carbomb how much he charges for Last rites... crazy!
