Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) Support Group
Atrial fibrillation (AF or afib) is an abnormal heart rhythm (cardiac arrhythmia) which involves the two small, upper heart chambers (the atria). Heart beats in a normal heart begin after electricity generated in the atria by the sinoatrial node spread through the heart and cause contraction of the heart muscle and pumping of blood.

This basically says that at 3 months or less it is only inflammation causing the problem (I know somewhere I found that inflammation after ablation is a sign of an effective ablation).
"Early recurrence occurs within three months of catheter ablation and is related to tissue inflammation that arises from ablation. If atrial fibrillation returns during this period, it usually subsides after the tissue has healed."

the Brigham hospital article(where I had my ablation) says the following WEEKS post ablation afib are from inflammation. The stop afib statement says the subsequent three MONTHS are from inflammation.I wonder which it is.
I would also love to see where the statement about post ablation afib caused by more durable lesions came from.
Thank you
