Atrial fibrillation (AF or afib) is an abnormal heart rhythm (cardiac arrhythmia) which involves the two small, upper heart chambers (the atria). Heart beats in a normal heart begin after electricity generated in the atria by the sinoatrial node spread through the heart and cause contraction of the heart muscle and pumping of blood.
We had before polls about success/failure of ablation. But I think they were too complicated, requiring answers to multiple questions.
Here is my simple poll for all the members who had ablation(s):
If you were to go back to the time of your (first) ablation, would you do it again?

A few PVC's here and there, but no AFib. Still in healing period but feeling great!

1) How long have you been in normal sinus rhythm after ablation?
2) Do you take a rhythm drug?
3) If you have had any afib runs, was it less symptomatic?
4) How many ablations did you have?
5) Did you go to Natale, Lakireddty, or any other rockstar EP?
6) Were you paroxysmal or persistent?
7) What type of an ablation did you have?

Now, those are a lot of questions :-) okay I will try.
1 - No afib after ablation (one month ago)
2- Taking Sotalol, 80 mg 2 x per day.
3 - N/A
4 - One ablation.
5 - Very good EP in Phx did mine, NOT a rock star though.
6 - Persistent, For 9 months before ablation.
7 - Cryo + RF catheter.

3. I'm not 100% sure, but I believe I didn't have reoccurring Afib, but atypical left sided flutter as diagnosed by me EP. Had 2 episodes in August of 2011 and they were totally different of what I experienced before. They made me feel worse and seemed to cycle. I took and ECG reading and it was abnormal ( could not identify it, saw P waves) 10 minutes later it stopped and ECG was normal. Then it started again with abnormal and normal ECG , etc. The second episode a week later send me to the ER with syncope. Was told it was SVT, but me EP looked at it and my readings on my Omron and said it was left sided flutter. No more episodes since then.

event. I take Warfain and Coreg and have had no PAC, flutters or
palpataions. So I'm going to leave it alone for now. I know I'm not
cured but I am living life well.
The first year was hell until we figured out the meds and the triggers.
No Dr could say where the clots came from so I'm on the blood thinner for life. And no problems with it.

7. RF on right side for flutter, cryo PVI on left for afib
I am confused about your answer. The question in the poll was for members who already had ablation(s). t seems that you did not have one since you are doing well with meds only.
