Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) Support Group
Atrial fibrillation (AF or afib) is an abnormal heart rhythm (cardiac arrhythmia) which involves the two small, upper heart chambers (the atria). Heart beats in a normal heart begin after electricity generated in the atria by the sinoatrial node spread through the heart and cause contraction of the heart muscle and pumping of blood.
Yesterday was the first day in several weeks I have not had an a-fib or pvc issue. I wondered what would happen last night when I retired to bed but I slept wonderfully through the night waking up refreshed for once!!!
So far today, no issues (knock on wood). Perhaps I've turned the corner in healing from my ablation. Wish me luck for two nights in a row...
I would also concur that if I'm in a-fib and lay on my left side it feels much worse. So I always lay on my right side and seems to allow me to sleep some.
Good Luck!
