Asthma Support Group
Asthma is a disease of the human respiratory system where the airways narrow, often in response to a "trigger" such as exposure to an allergen, cold air, exercise, or emotional stress. This airway narrowing causes symptoms such as wheezing, shortness of breath, chest tightness, and coughing, which respond to bronchodilators.
I was told I longer have asthma though after having a lung function test but I still take my meds, as when I came off them I had more difficulty breathing but in my throat area. It was really bad and scary. So I went back on my meds and haven't tried coming off of them since.
I do get breathing problems with anxiety though but even when it is anxiety I have troubles on the stairs. My Dad reckons it's a fitness issue as I hardly do sport because of my frequent breathing attacks. I am slim though and find it extremely difficult to put on weight.
Honestly, I haven't cleaned out my spacer in ages and I don't get that problem but I do get after tastes with atriovent, a stronger med that I have.
Rinse out your mouth after each time you use your asthma meds, it may help with the aftertaste.
How have you been? :)
No problem :) I really need to chat to people who know what I'm going through. I really wish I knew about this site a long time ago. It has made me feel so much better because in my life, people don't understand and they don't try to either. Just tell me to get over it. they have no idea.
No. I am on iPad. So some things aren't on here and I need to go shortly anyway.
:/ well that's good that your seeing someone as soon as possible because neglecting asthma is the worst thing a person can do. Oh. O.O
