Hi All,
I currently have a sharp stabbing pain on my left side of my chest. It hurts as i breath in and out and i am walking around. Lying down does not help, and sitting forward makes the pain worse. I've had this pain for a few hours now and its not getting better , my asthma is not flaring up. I have not fallen down, i have no brusies. Luckly enough i have a doctor's appoinment tommorrow to get my asthma inhalers.
But has anyone experience anything like this? If so what did you do?

I have that with my fibromyalgia. I may also be anxiety believe it or not. Make sure to talk to you doctor about it.

Sometimes I'll get a sharp stabbing pain in the lower right lung area, but it happens when the asthma has been in a severe exacerbation. I normally breath in deep (though that makes it hurt) and hold the breath a few seconds several times during the day as I assume the lung in that area may not be getting enough positive pressure. Normally, it resolves very quickly once I start that type of breathing. You said your asthma has been well controlled, though....so I don't know. Hope the doctor's visit went well today.

ZOE! i cant believe i found your post. I have well controlled asthma and i have recently started having pain upper left. As with you, nothing has happened to cause this. Unfortunately, i can ask anyone , as i have lost my health insurance and PCP with it. So i am on my own with this one. Let me know what your doctor says. I am under no stress, no anxieties, etc. . . .So i dont want to hear that its my hormones/change of life etc. Good luck!!.

The pain went away when i woke up the next morning, the doctor suggested i go for a chest xray in case it was a pulmonary embolism as i take the contracepative pill and it can cause blood clots, i should get the results next week

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper?
