Asthma is a disease of the human respiratory system where the airways narrow, often in response to a "trigger" such as exposure to an allergen, cold air, exercise, or emotional stress. This airway narrowing causes symptoms such as wheezing, shortness of breath, chest tightness, and coughing, which respond to bronchodilators.
i'm Joy.I just joined the group.I'm 41 and have had asthma since I was a kid.Right now I am suffering from an upper respirtory infection.That aggravates my asthma a lot.I am currently taking advair,albuteral and singular.

I've had asthma since I was a kid, too....I was about 4 or 5 and had a bout of pneumonia.
I take Advair for therapy and carry a rescue inhaler just in case.
Upper respiratory infections stink! I know how you're feeling.
