Heartburn? Flovent?

I was diagnosed with Asthma yesterday. I got started on a Flovent pump twice a day. Yesterday I started the Flovent pump and I also starting feeling heartburn yesterday that has not gone away!! Could the Flovent pump be causing this feeling?!?! It\'s awful!! I could barely sleep last night due to it!

Hey carmdi. I did go to a lung doctor. He is the one who diagnosed me. I do think it is asthma though because I am wheezing and when I use the albuterol pump it stops. How does an ENT diagnose GERD? Cause I was at one a few months ago and he put a camera down my nose and looked into my throat and such and he diagnosed me with Rhinitis but said nothing about GERD...curious if this is something if I had that he could have seen?

I did experienced heartburn when I was taking flovent I stopped taking it too then my doctor put me on Advair,my doctor had told me I probably had GERD too,he sent me to another doctor but I never went,I hate tests.I hope the Azmacort works for you.

Thanks for your reply LesoleilFl! The Azmacort is working SOOO MUCH BETTER!!! I'm like you I hate tests I hate meds! So to hear that I would have to take another med to control a side effect of another med I was like UM NO! Soo...Im glad the Azmacort is working just fine so far!

I'm glad the Azmacort is working for you!I hate meds too.I used to like the old albuterol inhaler better,the new one doen't work as well as the old one besides I think I'm allergic to the new propellant if I take 2 puffs my lips get swollen and burn I only take 1 puff and I don't get any side effects isn't that weird.I hope you are feeling better
