Yes, I've definitely found my asthma getting worse with the fall weather...but, I don't know if it is because I am starting to get the flu early or what!!! I don't know if it is because I am spending more time indoors...except for when I am at work (where I am outside all of the time)?? I was given Advair by my doctor in the last week and find that it is helping a little bit!! I don't know if there is anything out there that anyone could advise me to get??

But on the positive side, I am feeling much better. I spent 5-6 weeks on steroid tapers (up and down). I have just experienced, in the last week, a steroid withdrawal migraine. I have never experienced this before. Within 24 hrs. of tapering and stopping my prednisone, I had "the worse Headache ever". Called my primary care doc Saturday night, when it kept coming and going over several days. Once I started prednisone 10mg, all was much better!
Important info for everyone who tapers steroids over a long time.

In the fall my asthma can get bad at time. I think it because the weather change too much. One day it warm and the next day it cold. If it cold out make sure you dress up warm and try to not to stay out in the cold too long. I was born with asthma and I will alway have it.

I know how you feel!! I am still using my nebulizer three times a day to breathe; and i can not atop wheezing! I do feel fine though, with no concern.

It is spring here in South Australia and my Asthma is much improved. My Symbicort 400 is working well and I haven't had to have Ventolin much at all this week, wonderful. The cold especially is bad for my asthma but this warm weather really makes a difference. To all you asthmatics on the other side of the world, rug up and keep well. Jen.

I wish I had symbicort 400! I have symbicort 200 which doesn't always help during really bad flare ups! It's either allergies, a cold or both that are causing the bad flare up that I'm experiencing right now. I don't have a nebulizer.

Hi guys. I joined some time ago but im not in here much because im sorta trying to deal with other health issues at the moment. I have struggled with my Asthma since I was 12. I wanted you to know what helped me. Im going to leave a discussion on it.

Dulera is expensive but its been the best medication I have ever taken. If you have insurance its what works for me. Along with I have ventalin for flare up and combivent when its really bad. So I do to sprays of Ventalin at night then two of the Dulera. Combivent during the day if I need it. I also I have cheritussin if im coughing and cant stop. This is what works for me. Not sure if it can help someone else.. Mountains.

I have really severe year long allergies to mold, animal dander, dust mites and seasonal allergies to pollen/trees/grass. All of these allergies really aggravate my asthma. The leaves have fallen are falling off the trees and it's supposed to rain until Monday! Is there anything I can do to reduce my exposure besides staying inside? There are mold issues in my apartment as well but I can't move until next year. I don't have any type of mask. My asthma has been really flaring up lately! It will be really bad for a few days, get better than flare again. Rain, wind, and cold air especially make it much worse.

If you have insurence have your dr call in veramyst. Its a nasel inhaler that works so good with allergies. I sware it helped my asthma as well. Maybe a air purfier for your apt and zap any mold you can see inside with bleach and water. Vacume x a zillion. Good luckk its rough :(

Here we had a thunderstorm which made me have an attack, this always happens when rain comes. Does rain have anyone else flare up?
