Asthma Support Group
Asthma is a disease of the human respiratory system where the airways narrow, often in response to a "trigger" such as exposure to an allergen, cold air, exercise, or emotional stress. This airway narrowing causes symptoms such as wheezing, shortness of breath, chest tightness, and coughing, which respond to bronchodilators.
When will you know the results?
Also, as you probably know from reading your profile, you should get a written copy of the test results and go over them carefully yourself in case there's a question or lack of full disclosure.

Since doing chemo a few years ago for my liver, my asthma has dererioted and has been very bad all thru the year, unlike before it would flare up during the months of december and january.
In the past year I have had trouble catching my breath, and had a steady cough, so when I finally decided to see my PCP, he first put me on sick leave, so he sent me for a regular x-ray, and had his receptionist call me to come in.
He thought I had a pneumonia, but it didn't feel like one, I've had pneumonia at least one a year for years now, and didn't feel like I had any of the symptoms, so he prescribed me some steroids, antibiotic ect.. over a period of 4 months, and sent me for a new x-ray after each treatment, and my left lung still had a shadow over it, which is when he finally decided to send me for the scan.
So now I'm just waiting patiently for the results.
Thank you soo much for your support.
