Asthma Support Group
Asthma is a disease of the human respiratory system where the airways narrow, often in response to a "trigger" such as exposure to an allergen, cold air, exercise, or emotional stress. This airway narrowing causes symptoms such as wheezing, shortness of breath, chest tightness, and coughing, which respond to bronchodilators.
Thanks for all your wonderful advice! :) I've heard there's silent reflux too where you don't necessarily have the symptoms but the damage is still being done. When I looked at my throat yesterday morning it looked really red but didn't hurt too much. How were you diagnosed with GERD? What type of tests did they run? I went to an ENT quite a while ago because I had chronic hoarseness for two years and also had problems with salivary gland swelling. He never said anything about my throat but maybe it's developed since then. I took gaviscon a long time ago and it seemed to help a lot because it makes a barrier. I try not to eat two to three hours before bed. Does chewing gum count as eating?
You know I heard that the chemicals that swifters use are bad for animals...I just wonder-there couldn't be a smell there bothering you?
Big Hug!
