Asthma Support Group
Asthma is a disease of the human respiratory system where the airways narrow, often in response to a "trigger" such as exposure to an allergen, cold air, exercise, or emotional stress. This airway narrowing causes symptoms such as wheezing, shortness of breath, chest tightness, and coughing, which respond to bronchodilators.
Asthma takes a lot out of you.Wait until you are starting to feel better then gradually work up to it.EG 5 minutes the first day 10 the second day and so on.
Asthma is you can breathe in but you can't get the air back out.It gets trapped. You might need to work your puffer out so you can have it before you exercise as it may be exercised induced asthma.
Hope you are feeling better.

I always keep soda water on hand for that specific reason.Try that after you have had your puffers
For what it's worth, on the subject of pain, I have chronic pain in the lowest lobe of my left lung, on and off since earliest childhood. One CT scan I had reported an "area of density" in this region, probably due to damage to it.
I also get generalized chest pain in cold weather, especially under physical duress.
The best thing to do is to pre-medicate at least 15 minutes before physical exercise or before going outside and being exposed to cold air. This should reduce or prevent some of the discomfort.
Also, as the "puffers" take effect over the long term, there should be a lessening or easing of the pain
Good luck
