Keep the cat out of your room, and any other rooms where you spend a lot of time. Vacuum frequently, and wash your hands after you pet your cat. If your allergies get bad enough, you might have to find your cat another home.

brush the cat furn once a while. keep the house clean. maybe you need alliergies med. maybe you should ask your doctor about that. there are other things can make you wheezer like the weather chage, strong smell clean stuff and other things.

The best thing you can do is keep your house clean and to wash your hands after touching the cat. i have had asthma all my life and have five dogs and they don't seem to effect me, maybe because I clean so often :-), Hope I helped.

im married to a vet, and we knew for years if we got a pet, i would have problems, and we took in one that could not see, and now hes better, so we became attached. went to the doctor and they put me on singular. anyone know if this is going to help

Cat allergies are much worse than dogs. Because you are really allergic to the saliva of the cat, because they groom themselves. I have three of my children married to spouses with cat allergies. I also have a cat (something I am NOT allergic to for reasons I do not know!)

All of them take antihistamines when they visit, and they do use the wet wipes and stay away from eyes and nose with the hands. I would give the cat away, but they don't visit and she has a heart condition and would not survive.

When my kids were allergic to pets, we had to keep them outside or get rid of them. It didn't work too well where we are now with 6 months of brutal winter, but in a warmer climate it was fine. I would move the animal outdoors and wash the walls, change the beds and cover them with plastic and keep the cat out of that room and other main rooms you use. And good luck.
